Problems with a IIs server
First of all, let me shout: I’LL NEVER DO ANYTHING AGAIN IN A WINDOWS SERVER WITH IIs!!!
Ok, that was fine, sorry, this hosting is giving me the worst time in my life since I’m a web designer. Let’s speak about my problem.
The worst trouble I have is on the sections tab, well, this tab is fine, I can create all the sections I want, but I can’t acces them throw the browser, I installed the sgb_url_handler plugin, but it didn’t work, I contacted the hosting and them told me they couldn’t do a thing to make it work and the trouble should be with TXP (I don’t think so).
Also, I can’t create new users because it gives me an error when it tries to send the e-mail with the password, looks like this:
<code>Warning: mail(): “sendmail_from” not set in php.ini or custom “From:” header missing in d:\dom\cre101\wwwserver\el-ocho.com\txp\textpattern\lib\txplib_misc.php on line 793</code><br/><br/>
One last thing, the hosting guys told me that TXP can’t acces remote domains (for security), so I can’t look for new languages except english, I’ve uploaded the new language file manually (es-es) but I doesn’t appear in the list of available languages.
Can someone please help me?
THANK YOU.

Re: Problems with a IIs server
I feel your pain my friend … you will need to do a bit of a hack to get CLEAN URLs working (MESSY URLs should work fine) … but I’ve run into some issues with category URLs and search results (still troubleshooting)
the email problem I can’t help you with, but search these forums via Google – I think that issue has been mentioned before
another one is IIS ‘access violation’ errors when installing some plugins … but that’s another story

Re: Problems with a IIs server
IIS sucks when it comes to clean urls (regardless of cms) unless you’re fortunate enough to have one of the couple IIS extensions that will allow you to have them.
For the email problem, you’ll need to ask your host about it. Provided them with the error message, and tell them that a custom “From:” header is provided by Textpattern.
I’ve uploaded the new language file manually (es-es) but I doesn’t appear in the list of available languages.
Scroll down to the bottom of the Update Languages page, and click on the “Install from file (experts only)” link.
