exaudi.com.ar | retro.tecno.pop
Hi, first time I present a site here… please, be kind! :D
It’s my band site. I have been inspired in The Man Machine aesthetic ;) and the layout has been a bit inspired from 456bereastreet.com (Roger Johansson)
Well, it is still a bit under construction… but you know… anyone never finish working on his own site…
In following posts I will talk about the plug-ins being in use, and all that blabla that nobody really cares but us.. :D
Musik… ¡non-stop!

Forgot to say: the chosen colour scheme and the design decisions may hurt your eyes badly.

The head image is flickering on hove while is loading.
Perhaps merging both the normal and the hovered image could help:
h1 a{
background:url(/img/bla.png) center top no-repeat;
}
h1 a:hover{
background:url(/img/bla.png) center bottom no-repeat;
}
The image is already loaded before hovering.
This map in left sidebar is made like this.

Hi. Thanks Bastian, Gerhard and Nardo for your comments.
@Bastian, thanks for your suggestion about the bg image. I know that technique, but I have never used it before. Maybe it’s time to use it.
My question is: what happens when you resize the layout? I mean, a simple CTRL + mouse wheel wont show the “hidden” part of the image?
I should try it before asking but…
In the meanwhile, I’m using a technique (i cannot remember where did I learn it) but it’s not working currently :D
Basically, it is:
h1 a {
background-image: url(image-hover.gif);
}
h1 a:link, a:visited {
background-image: url(image-normal.gif);
}
h1 a:hover, a:focus {
color: #fff;
border-color: #fff;
background-image: url(image-hover.gif);
}
The idea: the hover image is loaded for the <a>
element inside the <h1>
, but then, for a:link and a:visited, it is changed again to the normal image…
Well… I will keep working on the site and announce changes here.
Thanks again.
