How to see article number in edit mode?
Hello!
I want to link from one article to another without opening the section in a browser and finding it’s permalink. In fact, the permalink might not even be displayed. How can I see an articles “ID” or number while in the txp editing page?

You can also in the ‘articles’ screen hover over the article title, the id shows up in the url. zem_article_info only gives you the info in the ‘write’ screen.

I installed the plugin but it doesn’t seem to work… I don’t see the info anywhere. I’m using an early version of textpattern (1.0rc1). Is that a problem?

I would update your install. It was a breeze on all of my sites and it’s always nice too be up to date. Many plug ins only work with the 4.0 branch. I am not sure about zem_article_info though.

FYI: zem_article_info and 1.0rc1 is a no-no. Causes this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: register_callback() in ***/se-hform-blog/Docs/textpattern/publish.php(767) : eval()’d code on line 218
I’m not saying this is a real issue, but in case anyone tries it… :)

Of course, it was written after 4.0 came out. Why don’t you upgrade?

I’ve not upgraded because I’m not sure the MySQL and PHP versions on “my” server are up to date. The support on the server is done by a very good friend of mine, and I know he’s busy as hell right now so I’m not pushing him to update. :)

I doubt you’ll need to upgrade PHP or MySQL to run TXP 4.0 if 1.0rc1 is already running well; the requirements haven’t changed.
