Somehow, I broke file_download.
When trying to retrieve files with an url in the format-
http://www.example.org/file_download/1
I am redirected to the front page of my site, which I presume means that the url was not mapped to any resource txp knows about. My first thought was to examine .htaccess, but it appears to be the stock configuration. All other pages load correctly, and I can access images with urls of the form-
http://www.example.org/images/4.gif
What happened?

Re: Somehow, I broke file_download.
Where did you get that link from? It might not be correct. Make sure you use one generated by Textpattern – the ID number column on the content > file page should be a valid link.
If that link doesn’t work, you probably have a clean URL problem. File download links won’t be the only thing affected.
