stats and txp
Hi. I hope this be the right forum…
Well, I would like to know about some script, plugin or any other thing to get stats of my site that shows the visits by section… I can see global stats in the webstats of my server, but what I want to know is how many visits have each one of my sections.
Thanks in advance,
Marcos.

Re: stats and txp
you can try <a href=“http://www.google.com/analytics/”>google analytics</a>. just paste the code on the places you wish it to count.

Re: stats and txp
You can try:
Shortstat [free]
Slimstat [free]
Mint [$30]
Hit-logger [free plugin (no longer supported by author?)]
Google analytics [free (not sure if they are taking any new accounts yet)]

Re: stats and txp
google analytics sometimes returns a js error but I can feel no delay.
Shortstat and slimstat is hosted by your server so it depends on the speeds they offer. Shortstat is discontinued so slimstat would be the way to go.
Slimstat also comes with a txp plugin but that would mean that all your hits would be counted. In my site I have both slimstat and google analytics as they offer different things that I am interested in studying.

You can try bbclone that don’t need a database and use the poebbclone plugin to run with txp.
It’s under GPL.

Slimstat is my favorite, and it runs pretty fast. Just make sure you don’t add php auto prepend to your .htaccess, as things will slow down (but you will track everything carefully!). wet_slimpattern is a great way to keep track of your hits. If you add your IP address to Slimstat’s _config.php, you won’t record your hits. If you have a dynamic IP, you can enter in a range – xxx.xx.
For speed and ease of use, Slimstat kills Google analytics, in my opinion.
