slowlyfadingaway.com
Thanks to the help of textpattern and a few kind souls in this forum, I’ve erected www.slowlyfadingaway.com.
It’s merely a sort of creative dumping ground for experimental writing and songs I’ve done, and it’s very un-blog-like in that it stays away from most blog design conventions — not because blogs are bad, but because this is just a minimalist content repository.

Simple and vey nice. Interesting “Songs of Jubilee”. Listened to a couple and liked them. Well done.

Count me in too! Nice music you have. I’m a hobby producer myself but I always tend to overproduce my tracks. Maybe I could learn a bit from your songs. As they say, less is more.

Re: slowlyfadingaway.com
Thanks, Christian. Incidentally I used Fruityloops for all the song writing. If you’ve never used it, it’s a nifty, flexible, and remarkably powerful program for someone like me who has little formal musical training but still wants complete flexibility in composing pieces. It’s almost like the Textpattern of song writing in that it’s super lightweight but powerful.
And I’ve really contemplated putting an “About” or “Colophon” type section on the site. I don’t want the site to be about me as a person at all, but I do think it’s a disservice not to give credit to software like Textpattern, Istockphoto, and FruityLoops that contributed to the making of the site.

I used Fruityloops many years ago. It was pretty good then, and I heard FL Studio is even better. I use Reason now, and I’m used to it, so I think I will keep using it.

Raminz,
Thanks… I wish I could say I’d taken the photo, but alas, I found it on istockphoto. I think I did a lot of hue/saturation work on the image, and a little other photoshop work on the borders, but ultimately it’s stock photography. I’ve always been in love with old building imagery though.
Christian,
I’ve heard good things about Reason, but I haven’t tried writing a song in about 3 years…maybe I’ll give it a shot. I did give Reason a quick look about 4 months ago and it sort’ve reminded me of Fruity, but I didn’t have time to really put it through its paces…good to know you’re using it though.

Also, Christian, just checked out your site. Niiiiice! Makes me wish I could speak Swedish so I could understand anything! Seriously, very nice layout, cool photography, and I plan on checking out the music when I’m at home.
