PHP Resources, Books , Tutorials and articles

HI,

I am opening this thread to gather some resources about php programming (Basically for beginners)
The aim is to gather some, that are directly related to CMS Tools in general.
In regards to TXP it would be intereting allso to find out which of them really are based on elegant coding conventions,
like Dean Allens Code, without too much spagetti code.
I’m not aiming at becoming a programmer, what I am looking for is just the basic stuff that is helpfull, and modify the code (in a good way) if needed, and may be to write some plugins.
(EDIT.:MySql basic queries and some CLI instructions maybe as well, relevant to MAC OS Users)

I’ve allready one on the list: Kevin Yank :“Database Driven Website using php and mysql”

regards, marios

Re: PHP Resources, Books , Tutorials and articles

That looks pretty good, took a while to dig down to get at the main articles, started bookmarking the relevant pages,
I’m looking for commercial resources as well.
O’Reilleys has a much too large variety of resources, that would be difficult to evaluate for the purpose I mentioned.
If anyone can recommend some of those as well, I’d be able to complete my list.
Thanks Els,

regards, marios

Are you planning to publish your list here? I’d be interested.

Re: PHP Resources, Books , Tutorials and articles

Yes anywhere possible, here as well,
what is needed now is some input from poeple who are involved with programming, to get some recommendations, especially for the books.
