Can clients add new web pages?
Any suggestions on how a website (not weblog) would be best structured in Txp to allow clients to easily add new pages to a site.

Re: Can clients add new web pages?
As TXP has not comprehensive rights and permission management yet, clients have to add pages as any admin would do.

Depends on what you mean by “client”. Anyone with an admin account and sufficient permissions can create articles, pages and so on.

Re: Can clients add new web pages?
Take a site with a top level menu: Home Products Services About Contact. Within Poducts and Services there need to be 2 or more pages like: Products (product1, product2), Services (service1, service2). It seems to me the top level menu would be made from Txp Sections and the pages within Products and Services would need to be a linked list of Txp Categorties.
When a client wants to add a webpage called product3 within the Product menu they need to first create a new TxP category and then an article within the category and put it in the Txp Product section. And assuming the website designer has built in a Txp category link list to shown in the Txp Product section the new page will be available.
This sound about right to do it or is there a better way?
I’m after a simple solution for clients who are no techinacal. So imo this means keeping them away from any html, txp tags, and the txp prerentation/section tab.

Re: Can clients add new web pages?
Why not make Product1, Product2, Service1 etc. articles? That way the client would only have to add an article, and assign the right section. The menu level that lists the products can be an article list, so it would be updated automatically when an article is added. In my opinion you don’t need categories at all here.
