Cannot logout: database corrupt?
Hi,
This is weird. I am testing a new install (4.0.3) and already had a database problem (like http://textpattern.com/faq/36/warning-unable-to-save-result-set) which I (tried) to repair through phpmyadmin just like the Textdrive manual told me (even optimised the tables afterwards).
But now I can not logout anymore. Even tried a new password but still not able to logout.
What’s wrong here?
Thanks

You cannot logout? You mean you click the logout link but you remain logged in?

Re: Cannot logout: database corrupt?
Precisely!
Could it have something to do that I have cookies on the PC for three TxP websites and that I use the same login/password combination for all of them?
I really need to find out what has gone wrong here!

Re: Cannot logout: database corrupt?
Nice guess, but no it shouldn’t be that (there’s a hidden absolutely unique “key” for every user account).
This new install is entirely separate from your others, right? Is the logout problem for all of the sites, or just this new one?

Re: Cannot logout: database corrupt?
Can it be that the cookie has become “strange” on the PC?
On my work PC I could logoff and it all worked nicely.
I still do not understand this at all.

Re: Cannot logout: database corrupt?
Your browser is probably refusing to accept the changed cookie. Could be privacy settings etc.

Re: Cannot logout: database corrupt?
I just go for a complete reinstall of TxP. Was a testsite anyway. It was already strange I got the error described here http://textpattern.com/faq/36/warning-unable-to-save-result-set.
Thanks anyway.
