Backdating?
Hi, I’ve been keeping an online journal (just with HTML) for about 4 years. I recently discovered Textpattern (love it!) and have switched. I have one little problem, though.
Since my journal is in HTML only, whenever I copy and paste to make the entry in Textpattern, it refuses to let me date the article to the original date. Instead, it forces the current date, which obviously will make my entire journal today’s date.
Is it possible, and if so, how do I date each article accordingly? For instance, my first post should be dated January 24, 2002.
Thanks in advance,
Allison

Re: Backdating?
*Un*check the box on the right of the textarea that say sth. like “Set timestamp to now”. And below that field enter the publishing date for the article.

Re: Backdating?
After publishing your article you can also backdate it by changing the date. I tried backdating posts to the 19th century for a project but that did not work. Then everything defaults to January 01 1970, one of the PHP shortcomings. So that is your limit in backdating.

Re: Backdating?
It should be possible to change the date of an article (‘published at’, bottom right of the write screen).

Re: Backdating?
It worked! I have no idea why it didn’t the first time I tried it, but it worked like a charm this time around. Thanks for all your help, guys. I really appreciate it.
