Multiple Authors- Is TxP right for the Job
Being new to TxP I have spent some time browsing through this forum, FAQ and TextBook before downloading the v4.0.3. We are a small to medium sized language translation service company that has a structured static site with a company blog. I have installed a WP blog and is working quite nicely functioning well, albeit a tad slow in rendering the code. We are entering a second phase of our makeover developing an article section. Here is my questions:
Can TXP accept author submittals and hold them for moderation for an editor to accept/decline submittal?
Like technorati can the authors tags be used to place the authors article in a category?
Is there anywhere on the web that has used TxP to create a mini-portal article site that I can look over?
TxP is a robust content publishing system that much I have learned but, is it right for the job? If not can someone suggest what system is necessary for this?
Time to get my feet wet and download a theme that I can use without too much modification. Looking for a theme I came across the “The Bomb Site” and liked a couple of themes. Now trying to decide which one I’ll use…
Thanks all.

Re: Multiple Authors- Is TxP right for the Job
Briefly,
I’ve found that TXP is best for trusted authors. As opposed to a community site.
Its so easy to get this installed and just take a look at it, that I believe that would be your best bet.

Re: Multiple Authors- Is TxP right for the Job
Thats what I’ve done today downloaded a theme and played around with it tweaking here and there generally getting the feel for TxP. It is very powerful, however, am still not sure if it is adequate for the task at hand. Tomorrow I will download drupal and compare the two.
All in all it was nice to get outside of WP for a spell :)

Drlingo,
You may try modx for multiple authors? I couldn’t stand Drupal. Its a mess. I think ModX may incorporate more of what you are looking for with some of the methodology of TXP (similar anyway)?
