Is it safe to change the username?
Hi,
I just want to change the username (not the real name, but the usernam) of the admin user (the only user I have in this TXP install).
I have searched in the database (with PhpMyAdmin) and it appears just 5 times (one in the txp_user table and four in the txp_textpattern table).
Me thinks that by changing those 5 instances of the username it’s enought to change it.
But i’m afraid of doing something wrong!
Anything I should know before doing it?
Well, I will backup the DB, make the change and then report my results here.
Thanks in advance.

ops!!! I forgot to backup!!!
O.o
I have made the changes and everythings seems to work fine. I just needed to relogin to TXP with my new user name…
But still, waiting for the expert voices to calm me down and to know that nothing has been damaged with that little change.
thanks.

I don’t see how anything could have been “damaged”. It’s just a string in a database, after all.

I thought that maybe something related with the password or maybe those “weird” large numbers that are in some places in the database can have some deep relation with the string of the user name.
Thanks Kurt,
I think I can sleep now… can I?
