can I display all images in a category?
Hi there,
After several failed starts I’ve finally got my teeth into txp.
I’ve been following a number of tutorials and I’ve nearly achieved what I would like to. However…
What I am trying to produce is a series of case studies for my portfolio. (these would be articles).
Each article would be accessed by clicking on a corresponding thumbnail.
And that’s as far as I’ve got.
The final part is where I get stuck.
What I would like is a set images showing screenshots of the case study that I can then show/hide with css & JavaScript.
My problem is this: I can not find anywhere how to list all images in a category (NOT thumbnails the actual images)
I’ve been using this tutorial so far
An example of the effect I would like to achieve can be seen on kemie’s portfolio
Many thanks for any help you maybe able to give.
Alex

Re: can I display all images in a category?
Take a peek at the image_index and image_display tags.

Re: can I display all images in a category?
thanks Mary but those are the tags I’ve been trying all ready
However what I have found is that the image_index tag only returns a list of thumbnails and the image_display tag relies on the image_index tag to display an image. Or am I doing soming wrong?
What I think I need is a tag that will out put all full size images within an image category.
But if that’s not possible then I think I might try something using the wet_thumbfilter plugin and see if that gets the results I need.
cheers

Re: can I display all images in a category?
If you don’t need thumbnails, an ugly workaround would be to upload the full images as thumbnails.
Or you can have a look at zem_article_image, but this would mean that you don’t use image categories but assign several images to an article. You could probably achieve what you want doing this.

Oh thanks Kemie
Can I ask you one point about your site? How do you manage the show/hide of different screenshots through txp?
Many thanks
