Textpattern does not have a built-in blog function. You can configure it to power a blog, of course, but there’s no way to just start blogging a la Blogspot or Typepad. You’ll need to set up your site structure and templates first.

You login to the admin-side and the first thing you see is the article/write screen. Enter some text, click on publish, and then go to the front-page and you should see what you have just written. Congratulations, you have just blogged your first piece.
