Re: Publishing house website project
Maybe I asked too many questions for one post!
I’ll break this request into stages, hope that will help the community in answering my queries…
Firstly
=
My sections include:
1. Magazines & Publications
2. Events
3. Content Specials
4. About
5. Careers
6. Contact
I would like my top-menu to output 3 links in the following order:
1. Magazines & Publications
2. Events
3. Content Specials
I would like my bottom-menu (in the footer) to output 4 links in the following order:
1. About
2. Careers
3. Contact
4. Home
I have managed to create the sections.
Thank you in advance!

Re: Publishing house website project
You won’t be able to use <txp:section_list /> for your menus because that will output all sections. So you can either use a plugin or handcode the menu.
I’m not familiar with the navigation plugins, you can have a look here.
A handcoded menu would be something like this:

<txp:section name=“magazines-publications” title=“1” link=“1” />

<txp:section name=“events” title=“1” link=“1” />

<txp:section name=“content-specials” title=“1” link=“1” />

So if the name of your section with title ‘Magazines & Publications’ is ‘magazines-publications’, this will output the following html: Magazines & Publications. Etcetera.
The same goes for the bottom menu of course.
Magazines and Books could be categories, and Mag 1 and Mag 2 subcategories.
For the articles on the front page you’d need something like

<txp:article_custom section=“magazines-publications” category=“mag1” limit=“1” />
<txp:article_custom section=“events” limit=“1” />
<txp:article_custom section=“content-specials” limit=“1” />
