mapping blog posts

Justin over at justinsomnia.org posts how he creates a Google Map from his blog entries that he tags with geocodes. Is this something we can do in Txp? With a plugin?

Re: mapping blog posts

without looking at implementation details it could probably be accomplished via use of custom fields to store the data and a plugin to display the map in much the same way he describes, sure

Re: mapping blog posts

Custom fields, good idea. I’ll ask Justin for the “script that selected all those posts from the database and generated the javascript function calls necessary to build the markers and info bubbles in Google Maps.” Maybe someone here can make that into a plugin.
