Small Caps -- Where did it go?
Guys
When I first used Textpattern — back when it didn’t have version numbers (!) — Textile had the ability to find a string of capitals and apply a class to it called ‘smallcaps’.
This was removed from Textile before we got to the RCs. Can anyone tell me why this was removed? Did it cause unintended consequences? Can I re-implement it into my classTextile.php?

I have no idea what markup the SMALLCAPS function may have output, but I have to assume it was a span. You can accomplish the same thing with
%(smallcaps)Text to Make Small Caps%
As far as re-implementing: how would you demarcate the strings to process?
And then my dog ate my badger, and the love was lost.
