SVN repository for plugins?
Wouldn’t it be nice to have an svn repository for plugins. Authors could publish to it, users could update from it. The plugin tab in TXP admin interface could conceivably give you an extra link alongside the help button to update a plugin.
I’m all for resources which is where I usually find plugins, but perhaps it could all be made simpler. No? Ideas?
I just spent an hour, hunting down latest versions of all the plugins I use, and wondered about a more convenient way.

It would be nice to have an update mechanism from within the admin section. Similar to how Firefox handles extensions and themes.
SVN is becoming the standard, so I agree that it would make sense to house all plugins in an easy to access and update repository.
