non-displayed section

At the moment, my site jameslomax photography is nicely integrated so posts (photos) are classified and navigable by date and category, and they appear on the index page. I want to add another part to my site, where posts (photos) do not display on the index page. Why? – because I want some additional photo galleries that expand my portfolio, but which aren’t especially highlighted. So the logic is: the existing site works nicely like a photoblog, and now I want to add some galleries.

I understand the problem with this is the use of article_custom.

It might need a plug in…..or something…..any ideas?

Re: non-displayed section

I might be missing something here, but I think when you create a new section you specify there and then whether articles on it publish to the front page or not.

Re: non-displayed section

ricetxp is right: when you create a new section, you are able to specify whether or not those articles publish to the front page. The thing is, if you use that option, the articles from that section won’t appear when browsing your site by category.

I’m not sure what you mean here. How does the use of article_custom create a problem?

Re: non-displayed section

article_custom doesn’t pay any attention to the “do not show on front page” setting.

Re: non-displayed section

Ahhh—I learned something new today. In that case, I recommend using
<txp:article />
, or the chh_article_plugin if that doesn’t work.
