TXP list archives--closed to the public?

I just noticed that the txp-dev archives can only be accessed by current list members. I don’t recall the archives always having been that way—is my memory failing me? And in any event, is this intentional?

Always been that way, I think (though I don’t know the reason).

Yep, always been that way. I think the idea was to keep email-harvesting bots out. Given that anybody is free to subscribe, it’s not really “hidden”.
