Is the number of sections limited?

So far as I can tell, 4.0.3 isn’t allowing me more than six sections (about, article and four I have added). This doesn’t seem right? When I try to save another new section, TxP doesn’t complain; nor does it display the new section as created.

There is no limit. Since you already created four new sections, I assume you know how to do that ;) Are the sections you created that don’t show up in the sections tab visible in the database? (using phpMyAdmin, it’s the txp_section table.)

My bad; I hate to confess but it may have been as simple as hitting ‘save’ (uses page; uses style) instead of ‘create’ for the extra section(s). There is a teeny UI mismatch there but not quite worthy of an excuse ;-).

Hi. I’m actually having the same problem but I did hit save (uses page; uses style) and it’s still not showing up in the menu. I took this over from the person that created it & I don’t know what I’m doing wrong for it not to show up. I’d really appreciate the help. THANKS!!!

Do you mean the drop down menu in the write screen, where you can assign a section to your article, or a menu on your site?

And: are you sure you have the right privileges? (What does it say in Admin > site admin?)

I mean the menu on my site. It’s in the drop down in the write section.
You bring up a good point about the admin., it shows that I am listed as publisher just like the web designer on the site admin page.
What do I look for next that I could have missed?

If the sections are showing up everywhere except in a menu on public web pages, then the problem isn’t with sections. It’s with the template that displays the menu.

So, what code do you have on the page template to display the menu? It’s probably handcoded, so you will have to add any newly added sections yourself.

YOU ALL ARE THE BEST!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I wasn’t putting a hypen between my new page title so it was just ignoring it. I’ve got it going now. yippee!! :) Thanks again. :)
