Problems with certain server setups (continued...)

Sorry if I start a new thread, but I couldn’t understand how to post in my previous thread.

As mentioned in the previous thread, my host upgraded the server last week (php/mysql/zend). Since then, I can’t preview a comment, or change anything in the plugin list or the sections. When I do, Apache goes down (devil kernel: pid 17984 (httpd)).

Today, I received the following list from my host, showing what server configurations that TXP is working on, and what configurations that TXP isn’t working on (on my host):

MySQL Distrib 4.1.11
Apache/2.0.53
PHP 5.0.4 / mysql 4.1
Zend Engine v2.0.4-dev
OK

MySQL Distrib 5.0.19
Apache/2.0.53
PHP 5.0.4 / mysql 4.1
Zend Engine v2.0.4-dev
OK

MySQL Distrib 5.0.19
Apache/2.0.53
PHP 5.0.4 / mysql 5.0
Zend Engine v2.0.4-dev
OK

MySQL Distrib 5.0.19
Apache/2.0.53
PHP 5.1.2 / mysql 5.0
Zend Engine v2.1.0
NOT OK [notice] child pid 9042 exit signal. Segmentation fault (11)

MySQL Distrib 4.1.11
Apache/2.0.53
PHP 5.1.2 / mysql 5.0
Zend Engine v2.1.0
NOT OK [notice] child pid 53797 exit signal. Segmentation fault (11)

MySQL Distrib 4.1.11
Apache/2.0.53
PHP 5.1.2 / mysql 4.1
Zend Engine v2.1.0
NOT OK [notice] child pid 41068 exit signal. Segmentation fault (11)

MySQL Distrib 5.0.19
Apache/2.0.53
PHP 5.1.1 / mysql 5.0
Zend Engine v2.1.0
NOT OK [notice] child pid 25432 exit signal. Segmentation fault (11)

Does anybody know why it isn’t working on the four last server configurations?Anyone use one of the mentioned configuration that is not working at my host, and get it to work? I really like to continue using Textpattern. What to do?

Re: Problems with certain server setups (continued...)

It’s a bug in either PHP or Apache. Nothing we can do about it, I’m afraid. Textpattern might be the trigger, but it’s not the cause.

If you can narrow the problem down to a particular block of PHP code, you could post a bug report at php.net.
