Notify users of new comments
I have digged through the archives of this forum but found no answer to my question:
How can I enable my commenters to enable a function that sends them an email once a comment was made on an entry they previously commented themselves? I want a little checkbox that says “notify me of new comments” or “subscribe to this topc” and works as advertised. Does that require a plug-in or is this some textpattern-imminent function?

Feedburner offers a service that might work for that you want: Email Subscriptions, powered by FeedBlitz

I fear this is not going to work for me. I think this service only notifies users of a new post, not comments on a subscribed topic. Or do I get it wrong?
Update: It appears that either nobody knows how to do this or the answer is so obvious and I should be ashamed I don’t know the answer by now. :-)

I would also like to know whow to do this…
I notice that the textpattern resources site provides this advice in their help section
Would just like to know how it is done and whether a plugin is available for this purpose.

You mean ajw_comments_feed? It produces an RSS and ATOM feed for comments.
