Plogger security
How does everyone fell about Plogger, now that the security patches have supposedly taken care of prior, well-documented problems? I am running Textpattern on a Win 2003 server with IIS6 and really cannot afford to take any serious risks. I am heavily firewalled and the University’s IT department catches things the minute they get fishy. I do not have enough knowledge of php/mysql as related to security to really trust my judgement on this. I really like the solution that Plogger would provide for my needs. In short, with the fixes in place, does Plogger seem to have risks beyond other, similar galleries.

Re: Plogger security
Hi BlueLena,
A fellow North Carolinian ;)
Plogger, since 2.1 beta, has gone through a lot of changes in SVN. You could say that what’s in SVN is almost a complete rewrite of the code base. Mike and the developers have made hundreds of commits with user requests in mind.
A stable release is not too far off since there’s only one feature left to implement. If you’d like, grab what’s in SVN and help test it, the more people banging away and reporting bugs, the quicker we’ll get a stable release out.
As for 2.1 beta, it is secure, to the best of my knowledge.

Re: Plogger security
Hey Bert,
Yes, I am up in Raleigh. I used to spend lots of time down your way. I used to play the Double Door, Masquerade, Visulite, Milestone, Jackstraws, Tremont, 1313 and so many others I cannot remember over the years…
I will look at the SVN version and test and hopefully keep an eye out for the upcoming stable release.
