Here is the “site” that I am going to refer to: http://www.inspirationking.com/

So, to my problem:
I am using this plugin, and everything is good with it. I really like it.
I use it to, ofcourse, have a lot of categories on each article, I use them like “tags”. So, take a look at my site, under the categories. There they are. But when I click one of them, and I know I have an article with that category, I get a 404?

I just don’t get it.
Hope someone can help me,

Just wondering … is there an easy way to modify the plugin to make the category list on the edit tab larger? or maybe convert it to a dropdown?

This plugin looks very exiting, but that little change would be helpful, as i’m looking at working through and recatagorizing ~350 articles.

am not getting a 404 anymore, just getting my archive template without any articles on it. I have placed <txp:rss_unlimited_categories_article_list /> tag inside the archive template, but it’s not giving me anything back.

If I try a url that contains a category that used to be in the normal textpattern category list, such as:

/archive/mac-os-x/

it will return a list of the articles tagged to the original TXP category. If I change it to a category that I have created and used in the list provided by this plugin, I get the archive template, but no articles listed out.

I installed and activated it, and the categories are showing in the article tab, but the tags are not working. I used rss_unlimited_categories_list and rss_unlimited_categories_filedunder and they are not showing.

Also, when I select the categories I want for an article, and I save it, when it refreshes the categories are not highlighted. But I don’t know if that’s normal.

I checked and the table was formed.

How can I know what went wrong?

I have a couple of problems. The first one is the same 404 errors that everyone has been talking about.

For the other one, I feel like I’m overlooking something simple. I can only seem to select one category per article. In the article>write tab, if I select one category and save it, then <code><txp:rss_unlimited_categories_filedunder/></code> makes a list with that one category, as expected. If I go back to article>write and select another category and save it, then <code><txp:rss_unlimited_categories_filedunder/></code> return a list with the one new category, and not the old one. So the select menu always looks something like this: <a href=“http://www.mattgilbert.net/cat_prob.tiff”>http://www.mattgilbert.net/cat_prob.tiff</a>, with one item selected.

Alternatively, I can click and drag to select several categories in a row, like so: <a href=“http://www.mattgilbert.net/cat_prob2.tiff”>http://www.mattgilbert.net/cat_prob2.tiff</a>, but that’s not always desired.

What I personally would like is if there was a list of categories in the article>write tab, each with a checkbox. Perhaps I can make this happen myself by tooling with the plugin, but I doubt that I can pull it off.

To select more than one category at the ‘Write’ tab, use Ctrl-click

The 404 errors I read about, I think is related to an error in the help file.
A section in the help reads:

linktosection
The maximum number of live search results returned.
Default: “article”
Example: linktosection=”10”

Which seems to me to be a typo.
To click on a category listed by <code><txp:rss_unlimited_categories_filedunder /></code>, I add linktosection=category to give:
<code><txp:rss_unlimited_categories_filedunder linktosection=category /></code>
This gives me the expected list of articles under the category clicked.

Hope that makes sense…

Ctrl-click doesn’t work in mac (Firefox or Safari) for select lists.

I’m trying to modify the plug-in to replace the select list with several checkboxes, not sure if this will work out. I can get checkboxes to show up fine, but getting their values passed when you click “Save” isn’t looking too easy.
