Category list output as tag cloud?
OK, here’s some more dumb questions from me, please bear with me ;-)
I know there’s various plugins available to output tag clouds but I want to know
what is possible for the native category function in TXP.
For example:
1) Can you limit the amount of categories output in a list? Say you just wanted to
display the 5 most popular or so.
2) Can a normal category list be easily styled as a tag cloud?

Not really without a plugin or php. You do need to do a database request asking how many articles are saved under that specific category and then give it a class.

I’m using the rss_unlimited_categories plugin but whilst it’s a great plugin it’s a bit like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut
for my site – where I use the categories for country names and chooisng multiple categories is not appropriate since only
1 country can be chosen for my treatment.
I’m not sure what to do. Perhaps I should request this as a plugin.
