[request] Porting MT Right Fields
Flexibility is a great word for a CMS, and Kevin Shay developed an awesome Plugin for MT that expands the possibilities of that CMS ( See an example ).
We have the Custom Fields into TXP, it’s a great feature of course!, but maybe “someone” could expand the possibilities “taking” the RightFields idea … it’s a wish!

Any news about this subject?
I’m still wishing to see something like that into Textpattern.
Each time that I see the right fields screenshots Im amazed thinking in the possibilities of a plugin of that kind.

While I’m trying to make the jmc_event_manager work I feel that this Plugin could open the doors to make something else that helps developers to create “New forms” to submit (or parse) some info different than the main Write tab.
It’s great to have the usual TXP tabs and a New one (installed and activated by a plugin) where you can model and create new forms to insert another kind of information (Books, CDs, Reviews, Real estates, Events, anything…). That way you could use the default TXP Tabs to maintain “normal” information like news or articles, and the “Special Tab” to submit other kind of info.
I don’t know how difficult could be to create a Plugin like this but i’m going to try it! (just a wish …)
