Weird: Comments closed on older articles even though comments are on
I’m experiencing a weird problem here. I’ve imported about 300 posts from a pMachine install. Everything went ok.
Commenting was set to “Off”. I’ve turned commenting on for a few articles to see if everythings working. Unfortunately, even though comments are set to “On” the comments remain closed. For new articles, that I’ve published directly with txp, everything is working fine. All articles are using the same forms, etc. I’ve tried to turn them all on via a mysql query (setting annotate to 1). But that didnt help either. Commenting claims to be “On” on the imported articles, but in fact it’s off. Switching “On/Off” on all new articles works as intended though.
Any ideas?
(I hope someone understands my problem, which i find to be extremely bizzare :) )

Hi sthmtc,
did you check on your site preferences?
There is an option under the Comments label that is (dont know exactly in english, because I have the site in spanish):
“Disable comments after” and then you have some options like: 1 week, 2 weeks… and Never
Maybe that was….

my god. totally overlooked that one, i was so focused on the fact that i’ve imported the articles and that something must have gone wrong while importing ;)
