How do I secure TXP folder

How do I secure my textpattern directory, any setting in particular. Mostly, I don’t want people to have access to my config.php file

Please explain what you mean. What access do people have, that you don’t want them to have?

“someone” who? A regular user with shell access to your server? Superuser on your server? Or a web user accessing it with their browser?

The contents of config.php aren’t accessible with a browser.
