files in subdirectories

I search textpattern.com, .net, .org and I did not find the answer. I have structure like this
/files/documents/conference/
/files/documents/seminar/
/files/documents/reference/
/files/sign/

can i import it into files tab in tp admin? And work with files in this structure?

Not out of the box. You may be able to hack the upload functions to accomplish this, but I wouldn’t have a clue how :)

You may consider putting all the files in the same place and assigning them different categories?
