Link Images

I tried several searches with different keywords, and didn’t get what I was after, so I’m sorry if I’ve missed this.

I’m wondering if there’s some plugin (or worse, a “hack”) to the admin page that I can assign an image to a link. Many sites use the “button” images rather than the plain text, and if I choose to go that route, I’d much rather have everything handled internally rather than having to hard-code the entire links section. This is my first experience with TXP so be gentle… :)

Talyn, I’m not sure I understand exactly what it is you want to achieve. Do you want all links to be displayed as buttons, or just specific ones, like in your navigation? Can you please give an example?

Specifically navigation links (content -> links in the admin page) is what I’m looking for on the site I’m designing, not any url that might get typed in an article body text. What I have in mind sortof is a selection in the link edit options for an image url (just like the option for an article image), and when TXP displays the link, use the image if one has been specified, otherwise do the default text link like it does currently.

I can go in and edit the template manually to do this, it would just be easier if TXP did it all for me especially if I add/edit/remove any links which I’d prefer to use “button” images for.

Well, if I understand you correctly, there is definitely no plugin that does that. But I suppose it might be possible to achieve something like that using CSS. You’d better ask in the ‘Layout and CSS’ forum.
