Image organizer

What I think would really be beneficial is to have a different setup of the image tab in the TXP admin interface. Currently it is only possible to view a list of images without organization / search possibilities. This is not very user friendly when you have more than say 100 or so images.

So I fancy:

1. A search field where you can search the name of the image
2. A list (or dropdown box) to limit the categories you want to view

Re: Image organizer

Yeah the work arounds for the image inserting, yours and the bas image selector, are nice.

Hope the image tab will be enhanced in future releases.

Re: Image organizer

Maarten,
I could have sworn I heard you volunteer some help on this one! :)

Feel free to join the discussion

Textpattern doesn’t move on its own, although that would be cool if it did, but its people like you and me who can help the folks like Mary and the Dev team know what we really want/need and what the benefits/problems are and thus do our part in the big push?

For what its worth,

Matthew

Re: Image organizer

Matthew,

I’d be happy to voluteer for any help needed in the Textpattern community but I’m afraid I do not have the skills that are requested. I don’t consider myself to be an experienced user (yet) but am happy to join the discussion.
Unless you think that intermediate users like me can indeed make a worhwhile contribution.

Re: Image organizer

The discussion has not gotten technical yet. Mostly looking for ideas, and recomendations to see if we can develop a good baseline to work towards.

Please feel free to contribute with ideas, mockups, references to tools that you think handle this weel. It all helps.
