delete article from the write page

There could be have a way to delete an article from the edit page of each article.
I think of a radio button after “Reset time to now” ANDDELETE.
Because when using for example the rss_article_edit plugin you can browse your site and make changes very quickly, without search into lists.

Re: delete article from the write page

Hi p_see
rss_article_edit is a wonderful plug-in but it is just that: A plug-in.
Txp can merge plugin functionalities in the core code but not add additional features on functionalities offerred by a plugin.
Your idea might be good for wilshire to add in his <a href=“http://forum.textpattern.com/viewtopic.php?id=13720”>plugin</a>

Re: delete article from the write page

yes, I have just take an example with rss_article_edit. Before using rss_article_edit I missed this function already.
I remember to have already seen this request on the forum.
The planet will not stop turning without. But let us consider from a philosophical point of view that it’s a good thing to have the andidote of an action. At the same place where one created the thing one can cancel it. That calms the brain. That balance right.

Nevertheless I’ll propose to wilshire to add this function if he think the idea convenient.

Re: delete article from the write page

The concept is good (delete from post edit), but not the implementation suggested (radio button): that’d be too easy to screw up by mistake or overlook entirely. Could easily be a “delete” button, that also asks you if your’re sure before it proceeds.

Mind you, this can also be powered by a plugin, as mentioned. :)

Re: delete article from the write page

I agree. The “radio burron” was my first idea where the button was part of the status
-Draft
-Hidden
-Pending
-Live
-Stick
But I realize that delete is not a status like other (disappear!).

I put the question on the rss_edit_plugin’s discussion

sail the boat…
