sort by date (category/YYYY/MM/DD) no longer working

I recently updated my site and while in testing mode (on a clean/dummied database) a link to /category/YYYY/MM/DD listed all articles published on that date. after transfering the new page templates to my existing (live) database this functionality is no longer working. All files were updated (comment.php, taghandlers.php, etc) and all changes to plugins etc were made, so i’m thinking it has to be something within textpattern (that is, what textpattern stores in its database) … perhaps a setting i had changed on my old install of txp?

Any ideas?

That’s not supported by Textpattern; you must have been using a plugin.
