I was more or less waiting for the nod. If so we’ll go ahead and implement them. (Full screen.) Send a copy of the files to me and hakjoon, and one of us will integrate them on the backend. Be sure to add yourself in the credits (head of the CSS files).

I’ve had another look, made a few more tweaks. The most visible part of the latest tweaks are on the top tabs: index + content
I’m as happy as I’m going to get without having access to the templates. If any gremlins pop up, just let me know and I’ll fix them.

I have your CSS mods and not a lot of time. I did plop them into TxB briefly to have a look, but the layout broke. From a quick glance it looked like it might have been width, paddings, and margins here and there, but I didn’t have time to analyze it enough to really know so I backpeddled until I can get more of it (time that is).
I’ll just make the changes as needed myself so we aren’t going back and forth with this like nut jobs. I’ll keep all of your styling and you can keep me honest when the changes are made. One thing that really bothers me with the current layout is the fact that the logo and search elements are in different z-indexes, absolutely positioned, and not in logical flow. I didn’t check if you changed that or not, but that would be an additional thing to modify; especially since we are not catering to every browser under the sun anymore.
Anyway, sorry for the delay, many things going on at the moment; but soon.

All z-indexes have been removed, just one absolute positioned element (search form). I’ve changed the template to be more semantic and removed a lot of unnecessary < div >s, etc..
The CSS has gone from total 30KB to 13KB and all hacks removed. There’s probably room for more refinement, but without the Textbook data I couldn’t be certain of some changes.
If you need to throw any problems at me to fix, feel free.

Just wanted to say that the latest CSS changes are a real improvement for the TextBook (very TXPish). Like it :)
I’m not a big fan of that reading guy in the title and this fading red-orange thing on the main page but that’s purely a matter of taste.
So thank you for your work and all the time you invest in this project.

Thanks, Skubidu. :) Comparatively I’ve invested very little time compared to [insert very long list of names], but happy to give a little back.
I agree with the red/orange home page gradient, although I think it worked OK with the previous colour scheme. I’ve changed it after discussing with Destry. Better?! :)

the wiki has lost it’s red link functionality for indicating when a new page is targeted for development. Probobly got bumped in the redo of the CSS…can you get that back for us. I know it’s not brown and all, but I think this is a very important function of the wiki and should be regained. Personally, I’m quite lost without it.
