This is exactly the kind of things why serious web building & web design is a job, and not a hobby anymore. Toying with Photoshop is like 5 or 10% of the job.

Were you thinking of Owen Brigg’s The Noodle Incident? A bit dated, but still useful.
There’s also a lot of useful info on the CSS-D Wiki
And then my dog ate my badger, and the love was lost.

Re: Textpattern and Forum Font Sizes
I would also like larger font sizes. That URL may be this one by Richard Rutter, Jeremie.

Re: Textpattern and Forum Font Sizes
The forum font size is already larger, has been since late December.

Do small font sizes like 8px, 9px and 10px give you younger lot orgasms or something?
C.L. <---cracking up!
Let’s not dismiss this too quickly as reading itself is such a lost art/skill/practice in our descendants. Lest we forget the “erotics” of teaching. ;)

I actually use the following myself, in userChrome.css:
/* use my font for code */
textarea, pre, code, .code {
font: 12pt ProggyCleanTTSZ !important;
}
Mary, if you have a tutorial you can point us to that would be great. I’ve heard of being able to customize my browser to use my own CSS but never figured out how — I was under the impression I have to use Greasemonkey? Anyway — I’ll drop what ever info we collect over here and then I or someone can make a sticky or a wiki entry on it. Maybe that css is just in our browser folder? I’ve never looked.
Edit: Fixed link

Yep that’s it. It’s a must read and analyze for every web designer around here. After that, they are a couple of useful global techniques, with base em or % and then all in %. They are well known, or they should.

Re: Textpattern and Forum Font Sizes
neutrino: Before, it was a bit of a bother because you had to find/create a certain css file in your Firefox profile folder, edit it and restart Firefox. (I’ve got the name wrong above, it is userContent.css not userChrome.css):
Now, there’s a new extension out that makes this simpler.
Either should work fine, but you’ll likely find going the extension route will be much nicer.
There’s lots of nice customizations you can make to Firefox, all powered by CSS (UserStyles.org, SquareFree User Styles). How much do I love this browser?!
