url (rewrite?) oddity

Hi I am creating a website with textpattern and I noticed some wierd behaviour with the clean urls. I am using the /section/id/pagename mode, and have noticed that sometimes textpattern will let you use any section name to reference a page, as long as you have the correct id.

I even found this problem on the textpattern website, take a look:

http://textpattern.com/faq/181/

Will take you to a faq entry. However this also works for me:

http://textpattern.com/iliekmilk/181/

And takes me to the same entry. Is this correct behaviour? It doesn’t seem like it to me and I’d like to prevent it on my own website.

Thanks,
Andrew

Re: url (rewrite?) oddity

Here’s a patch which should resolve the issue:

Re: url (rewrite?) oddity

This has been how textpattern has worked since I started using it. I’m not sure if it is the intended behaviour or not. It does seem incorrect to some degree.

Re: url (rewrite?) oddity

Well, I’ve posted the patch to txp-dev, so we’ll just have to wait and see what the official response is.
