Output the URL only title in a form

Sorry if the answer is in a blindingly obvious place, I’ve looked and can’t find it!

Is there a tag or a plugin which will output the url only title as plain text?

There is no existing tag, but a while ago I made a small plugin that creates a <txp:url_title /> tag.

Edit: It works for me, but I’m not a coder so use at your own risk ;)

I’m not sure if there is right now. I don’t see it mentioned in the Textbook. If there isn’t I can write a plugin that does so. You can also dump it using php in an article form. I think the variable would be $thisarticle['url_title'].

Thanks for the replies. In the end I went for Doggiez’s plug-in so my article forms aren’t too cluttered with PHP
