100,000th Post Prize

This forum is nearing 100,000 posts, pretty big milestone.

I was just wondering if we could make the event fun for the community. Maybe a prize for the person who makes the post that turns the digits to 6 figures?

I know I’ll be keeping a close eye on it ;)

Re: 100,000th Post Prize

99285 (including this one) and counting…

What could be the prize for the post 100.000? and how can we know who did post it?

Look for the prizes received by the guy that bought the one millon song from iTunes.

Re: 100,000th Post Prize

We can find out via the PunBB database who made the post.

I don’t know what the prize could be, maybe something from Textdrive, Joyent or Strongspace?

Re: 100,000th Post Prize

Well, the main question is: who is gonna pay for the prize (t-shirt, what ever…).

I have an idea. Bluestatedigital is a webagency which did use TXP extensively for websites for US democrats. I did report on that here.
Wonder if they did ever pay/donate anything for using TXP.
My idea is, to write to Bluestatedigital and ask for a donation to the txp community. How about that?

As my english skills are a bit limited, i suggest some native english speaking person sets up a ‘letter’.

Re: 100,000th Post Prize

Rickard of PunBB sent me this MySQL query to find out the 100,000th poster:

SELECT poster FROM posts ORDER BY posted LIMIT 99999, 1

Alexandra, I’ll shoot an email off to Bluestatedigital, maybe they’d like sponsor the event.

Re: 100,000th Post Prize

btw. i guess Dean will not have the time to send t-shirts over to the winner. Maybe we have to get a t-shirt print by ourselves.

So, we need the logo and the font. The font is, as Jacob mentions here Sackers Gothic, or else a derivative of Copperplate.

Nevertheless i will send an email to Dean asking if he has t-shirts left. From my experience with emails to Dean i know he hardly ever responds. Still i give it a try.

EDIT
just send an email to Dean asking for a t-shirt donation.
