problems with urls in my feeds
Have posted this in how do I… and it should be in here really.
my url structure is clean and is set to:
/year/month/date/title
In my feed, the article links come out as:
/section/title
When you click a link in my feed in your newsreader it gives the 404 error page.
I installed zem-rewrite, and it sort of half solves the problem because now when you click on a link in the feed it dumps you into the homepage.
Is there a solution to this or do i basically have to make my url structure /section/title?

Re: problems with urls in my feeds
Thanks for the url, that should help. :) Can you point out a post and url that doesn’t work? I can’t seem to find one.

Re: problems with urls in my feeds
i bit the bullet and switched url modes to /section/title so it all works now. I realised that I needed to do that as I have my dreams section which is currently in blogger that I want to put in textpattern also.
What that does mean is that I need to add a rewrite rule or redirect that will make any /year/month/date/title url go to section/title. Any ideas on that?

This isn’t exactly what you’re looking for, but check out the sgb_urlhandler plugin. It allows you to handle all URL modes at once.

Re: problems with urls in my feeds
cheers elenita – I’ll have a look at that when I get chance on monday.
—EDIT—
Works perfectly – just what I was after. All I need to do now is get technorati tags to work properly (as they did when I was testing in Dec) and I won’t have to switch as I thought I might.
