[wiki] Site Administration Documentation in TextBook
It would be really great if we could rally up enough contributions to get the Site Admin panel documentation pages in TextBook caught up, including…
- representative screenshots of the panels — piece-by-piece
- discriptions of each piece
- consistent appearance (as much as possible) between documentation pages
See the Sections Subtab and Preferences Subtab pages as examples of the above.
Andreas is our stand-in images manager for TextBook and would love to have help in that respect, I’m sure. Contact him if you would like to work on images.
Everyone else can simply jot notes in TextBook for the “pieces” (controls, etc.) that need described.
Getting these fundamental documentation pages done has another benefit too. Many of the built-in help docs in TxP are unfinished (yeah, those little “x” buttons next to every single control in the admin panels). If the documentation pages for the admin panels in TextBook were done, it might help the developers get those missing built-in help pieces complete, in turn helping to establish a more completed/professional impression of TxP when someone installs it for the first time.
Even better, if the TexBook docs were completed, developers could simply link from the built-in popup pages directly to the TextBook sections that correspond. Either way it’s a positive feedback loop for both the system and the manual; it encourages constant upkeep by the watchdog community.

Would like to give this more attention folks, it’s a easy one. Doesn’t make sense to think about the cutting edge documentation if the basic stuff isn’t even finished.
A huge milestone would be to just get the site administration pages DONE!
If you’re going to do graphics, please make them consistent to what’s already there.
