more editors editing the same page -- at the same time

— without knowing about each other — is the whole subject :)

today i edited a page, saved it, looked at the page and it looked different.
it turned out, that my college was editing it at the same time.

i always thought txp employed some kind of locking or alerting about
cross-editings like this.

i hesitated to put this into bugs because i think i am missing something
basic and important :)

so how should this work? shouldn’t i be denied edit access while someone
is working on a page?

This has been discussed before and left as an unsolved future development task. Currntly, Textpattern does not warn on concurrent edits of the same ressource.
