Any designers do Textpattern sites?
I am interested in finding someone to design a TXP site for me. I am tired of thrashing around with CSS, apart from the fact thay my colour and design sense is just the pits.
Is there a list anywhere of designers? The only name that comes to mind is Bryan Bell (see Joyeur), whose work I have admired for years (Radio Userland themes and the like).

I do not mean to leave anyone out here but try
<a href=“http://hicksdesign.co.uk/”>Hicks Design</a>, <a href=“http://gva.net.au/”>GVA</a>, <a href=“http://www.wilshireone.com/”>wilshire one</a> or even take a look at the <a href=“http://txpmagazine.kbbu.de/all_sites”>txp magazine</a>.
Edit: maybe someone should start a thread or a whole forum heading regarding webdesigner services.

Not exactly a list, but some can definitely be found in the TXP Sites Collection

I’m starting at it (in the professionnal meaning), so I probably can do it but I don’t have a full portfolio to present.

Re: Any designers do Textpattern sites?
ubernostrum once suggested creating a site for txp professionals (or inveterate forum readers) … good idea

Re: Any designers do Textpattern sites?
I second that. I don’t have the time to figure out how to “roll my own”. Apart from the fact that my aesthetic sense is pretty dismal!

I think when you’re starting out with any CMS, it takes a few months to get up to speed. While you learn, your site usually runs the default template.
A TXP Pro site would be a very good idea.

Re: Any designers do Textpattern sites?
I registered textprofessionals dot com – with the idea of making a directory site using manfre/igner’s community-type plugins – so login and add your listing within one or more categories … whoever wants to join in, join in! start a new thread in textpatter perhaps (don’t have time myself right now)
ps I just registered the domain name, there’s nothing there

Re: Any designers do Textpattern sites?
I would strongly suggest that this initiative to be hosted on txp.com, or at least one of the already installed major txp websites. It need visibility, and assurance, I’m not sure a new website can do that.

Re: Any designers do Textpattern sites?
Yes Jeremie, it makes a lot of sense to centralise a list of “TXP designers/developers for hire” on textpattern.com (or maybe textgarden.org).

Re: Any designers do Textpattern sites?
Textgarden is more layout oriented than dev.

Re: Any designers do Textpattern sites?
I think that a new domain is a good idea but this domain should be hosted in textdrive and it should be linked from all other txp sites. (having said that, there is yet a uniform policy regarding the linking of official txp sites… ie in textpattern.org there is no visible link to either textdrive or textgarden).
