Animated Live Search
Hey!
Could someone please help me rewrite this so it works in Textpattern?
It is WordPress specific, but the author says that the theory can be applied to any site platform. I just don’t have the proper skills to do it.

Would <a href=“http://forum.textpattern.com/viewtopic.php?id=8221”>this</a> be what you are looking for?

Re: Animated Live Search
Well not really. It is a livesearch yes, but it is has a really cool twist. See it in action here

Re: Animated Live Search
Well I don’t see why that is better. Hardly livesearch at all is it? Yes OK it performs the search via XMLHttpRequest and there’s no page refresh but it doesn’t have the dynamism of live search.
I cannot see why you would want to implement an XMLHttpRequest in such a static manner.

Re: Animated Live Search
I wasn’t really trying to start a debate on wether or not people liked it – I’m just trying to get it to work under Textpattern.

I think the problem. Brutal, is that you’re interested in an aspect that is purely candy, whereas most of the developers and hackers are more interested in functionality. If you really want this to happen, you might have to roll up your sleves.
Yes, I have tried turning it off and on.
