Photoblog template questions
I was considering doing another photoblog template for textpattern and I have one question of the many more that will surely come.
What default width should I set the posted pictures to be ? I was thinking 700px, but you tell me.

Re: Photoblog template questions
700px would be best, I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Currently I’m mulling over switching from Wordpress to Textpattern for my photoblog at http://thehumanmuseum.com, but the lack of photoblog related information in the forums has me waffling a bit.

Re: Photoblog template questions
The wider, the better. I’m going with 720px wide, many use 750px, and one even has 900px wide.
If think that 800×600 users won’t want to look at photos on their (presumably) slow machine, then you can forget about 800×600 and design for 1024×768 and above.

Re: Photoblog template questions
I think 760px wide is best. Fits well on 800×600 too.

How about something fluid for a change, one size fits all!

Re: Photoblog template questions
The problem with doing fluid photo site layouts is that photos don’t scale like text; in my experience it’s best to figure out what the maxiumum photo width will be, then design for it at a fixed width.
