Certain parts of TXP not localized.
1)admin setup screens before setup
2)presentation/forms All data in table cells (right side)
3)parsing error on title element of admin panel header element

Certain elements are not included in to TXP as for example the description links for page templates,those are not called from local language file.
admin setup sreens are not localized.
page title in header of admin page is creating parsing errors.
No localization of tabledata content of localized terms
in presentation/forms (right side)

Re: I18n

After full translation of language txt file and changing settings accordingly in txp_micsc.php,txp_prefs.php,indix.php,and publish.php
certain parts still remain in english(en_gb).
Locale for guesses array is as follows:
<code>
‘el-el’ => array(‘el_EL.UTF-8’, ‘el_EL’, ‘el’, ‘ell’, ‘greek’, ‘el_GR.ISO_8859-7’),
</code>
As anybody can see daignostics returns <code>

Re: I18n

Marios, do you have a Greek translation for TXP? How complete is it? I’ve got one that’s about 50% complete, based on the latest SVN revision. Can you sent me yours so that I compare the two of them?

Also, I’m under the impression that the correct locale for Greek isn’t “el-el” but “el-gr”.

Re: I18n

I’ve corrected the locale but still get gibberish on title attributes.Not sure if this is correct but now it’s like this:

<code>
‘el-gr’ => array(‘el_GR.UTF-8’, ‘el_GR’, ‘el’, ‘ell’, ‘gre’, ‘greek’, ‘el_GR.ISO_8859-7’),
</code>

Re: I18n

This is the first time I’m trying to translate the admin interface, and now only to confirm what you’ve been saying. I’ve used:

'el-gr' => array('el_GR.UTF-8', 'el_GR', 'el', 'gre', 'greek', 'el_GR.ISO_8859-7')

and I have the same problem. Seems like another i18n/unicode bug.

Re: I18n

There is more problems,allthough I updated the language file with the appropriate string, subject string in e-mail will return gibberish.
Viewing saved articles in Input field (presentation/write) will not display all characters correctly.
(I’ve allso changened the language attribute in xmlns of the admin doctype but no change)
BTW.: The settings that I use for testing are all based on UTF-8 though,that means collation in MySQL is utf general,
and default charset in Apache httpd.conf is allso set to UTF-8)

Re: I18n

marios, apart from the problems you’ve mentioned, do you think that Textpattern version 1 will come with Greek localization? ;)

I have stopped working on RC-1,because I thought that it wouldn’t be possible to implement it in the turbulence of growing needs towards a CMS in generall,so I wouldn’t be able to anser your question in any case.

I would like to base my website on RC-3 exclusively,I think it’s up to par to deal much better with various aspects of security and of course I18N.

regards, marios
