Re: WYSIWYG editor
As I prevously said, this kind of editors (none of them) will not work in Safari or Opera until they implement the required extensions.

Re: WYSIWYG editor
Is there any way to easily get a larger editor window?
I’m using Wilsire’s rss_admin_resize plugin, but when I use tiny_mce, it resized the window back to a smaller size.

Request-
I found on the tinymce forums that there is a chunk of code to make this thing XHTML compliant.
Unfortunately I haven’t figure out how to do plugins yet, so I’m requesting it be added to this plugin if at all possible.
Here is the forum post that explains how:

Thanks!

Re: WYSIWYG editor
Anyone have any idea why the ‘toggle editor’ only shows on some articles and not others, even though they were all created with this editor plugin? I’m perplexed.

Re: WYSIWYG editor
So there will be no support for Textile then?? Or is there some way for me to add support for Textile to the editor?? And what are the possibilities for the image-tool, and in special adding the images to the txp database? So there will be no confusion with the authors of the website!

Re: WYSIWYG editor
I’d love to help in any way I can, trnaslating xhtml valid code be it textile or whatever, for a wysiwyg editor – I know i have several clients that would benefit from such a thing.

Re: WYSIWYG editor
I’m not sure if this idea is a little bit crazy: Would there be a possibility to have a wysiwyg editor that produces textile?
Such an editor wouldn’t break any live website, so you could decide at any time whether to use handwritten textile or textile produced by the editor.
The conversion to (X)HTML would be done by Textpattern as usual…

You’ve probably seen textile live preview. I’ve seen a bbcode wysiwyg editor (I think for drupal) so a wysiwyg editor for textile should at least be possible.

Re: WYSIWYG editor
It wouldn’t be wysiwyg, but you could use upm_quicktags with Patrick’s Textile addon-on.

Re: WYSIWYG editor
Okay, I am trying to use this on txp 4.0.1 and it sticks the editor under the excerpt area just floating on the page. Anyone know how to fix this?
Update: also behaves the same on txp 4.0
Update 2: I have isolated it to the upm_img_popper plugin. That plugin adds a hidden input with a name=“body” which mic_tinymce uses to attach the editor to.

Re: WYSIWYG editor
Feature request: Could you make it so that the “text”, “html”, and “preview” tabs are removed or disabled. As those tabs make you lose your content if you entered it in tinyMCE then clicked one of the tabs.
This can be done through txp prefs by turning off textile sitewide but the problem there is if I go to edit an old post that was formated with textile and resave it then the formatting is removed.
So if you rolled this into your toggle editor function somehow, where if the tinyMCE editor is present it disables the tabs and if it is not present it shows the tabs, that would be excellent.
