Plugin Request: KeyValues plugin?
Esteemed plug-in writers—
I’m a Movable Type convert, and one of the things I miss from MT is Brad Choate’s MTKeyValues plug-in. It lets you add simple keyword: value pairs to an entry, and then deal with them apprpriately in your templates.
http://mt-plugins.org/archives/entry/keyvalues.php
For example, if I create an article for each Staff member of a company, I can use key values to stash phone numbers, years of experience, and other miscellaneous data I might want to pull out and use differently from article text. The unstructured flexibility of this approach can be a great asset.
The Txp custom fields can kind of work for this, but I prefer the keyvalues approach—I think it’s much more flexible and extensible. Anyone up for writing a template to make this happen?
If I knew more about php than I picked up on the streets, I’d do it myself, but alas…

You can use custom fields for the same thing. Look into those, there are posts aplenty here about them.
