How do I update the docs? (Assign an issue to me)

I’m trying to update the docs. I found the right open issue, added the problem and commented with the proposed text to add to the docs.

But it won’t let me assign the issue to me.

Not important for this one change, but I was thinking I might also update other parts of the docs, so I wanted to do it right.
