delete theme

I’m on txp v4.9.0-dev (d72fbb8ac8a902583c01b17537647986) and trying to delete an experimental theme from the “themes” tab but the following message is returned

Deletion aborted for themes used by sections: default, about, publications, related-links, texts, blog, etc.

Is this an expected behaviour?

Re: delete theme

The message suggests that you are still using the theme in some sections, so presumably txp prevents the theme removal so that your site sections don’t break.

Re: delete theme

When you look at the sections panel, you’ll see some indicator that a particular section has a development theme assigned1. You can select the section(s) and from the multi-edit widget reassign them. IIRC, as I very rarely use this Textpattern feature.

Re: delete theme

If your theme has a (green or orange) In use pill in ‘Themes’ panel, then yes, it’s expected.

Re: delete theme

Thanks so much guys. That did it! I’m also moving this thread to the “how do I” section of the forum.
